“As a result of the placement, the Cobalt Blue board welcomes two new tier-1 long-only domestic resource funds onto our register and believes it’s a great endorsement of our BHCP project,” chair Rob Biancardi said.
The company provides answers to questions about processing of ore from the Broken Hill Cobalt Project and encouraging test-work on the concentrator circuit for use in its Demonstration Plant in Broken Hill.
“The 5x grade improvement from concentration is a key project enabler, with phase one of this large-scale work continuing to confirm expectations,” said CEO Joe Kaderavek.
“Strong progress allowed us to extract further ore for better overall representativity. The completion of the mining, and now crushing, sets up Demonstration Plant operations in coming months,” said CEO Joe Kaderavek.
The demonstration plant’s comminution and concentrate circuits have been commissioned with operations underway.
Global capital markets group Canaccord Genuity recently visited the company’s Broken Hill Cobalt Project (BHCP) in the Far West of New South Wales.
“We anticipate the demonstration plant will deliver more than 3,000 kilograms of cobalt products from June to November, providing technical validation of our processing technology, product quality and underpinning project investment,” said
"We anticipate the Demonstration Plant will deliver over 3,000 kilograms of cobalt products from June-November 2022. In parallel, we have received better than expected demand for larger-scale samples globally,” says CEO.
The company has been awarded an Australian Government A$15 million Critical Minerals Accelerator Initiative grant and this follows the Broken Hill Cobalt Project being granted Major Project Status.
The BHCP is the only large-scale, ex-African, greenfield primary cobalt project globally and a top-five cobalt project (ex-Africa). BHCP production will lift Australia into the top three global cobalt producers.
“Last year, our successful Pilot Plant opened the door to new partners. These large-scale demonstration plant cobalt samples are a game-changer for COB, providing operating proof for project equity/debt funders and simultaneously providing
