“We are now in the process of preparing to open our stores safely, as we work in accordance with government advice to protect our staff and customers,” said chairman Martyn Page
The group said its board is working on plans to re-open the firm's physical stores when allowed and with appropriate safety measures in place
Group sales increased by 19.0% year-on-year over the first three weeks of March prior to the significant recent impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Each of its retail stores are now closed until further notice; however, the company's distribution centre will continue to function for online sales
New store openings and online growth were driving factors in last year's sales performance
The 4,500 sq ft store is the company's 35th in the UK
