Angling Direct PLC (LON:ANG) has opened its 35th UK store in Warrington, Cheshire.
The fishing tackle and equipment seller said the 4,500 square foot store, located at the Cockhedge shopping park, was “ideally situated within a highly populated and enthusiastic angling community and is surrounded by lakes and other river venues such as the River Mersey and Weaver”.

"The store opening supports the Group's strategy to roll out new stores across the UK to service popular fishing destinations and angling communities”, said Angling Direct’s chief executive Andy Torrance.
“At the same time, we continue to enhance our e-commerce offering in terms of products, experience and education in order to help raise the profile of angling", he added.
The shares were 1.8% lower at 67.3p in early trading.
