St George is in talks to set up a pilot plant at Mt Alexander’s Stricklands prospect, while further resource drilling is planned to test two strong electromagnetic conductors to the deposit’s northwest.

Drilling will focus on testing high-priority targets identified from the seismic survey recently completed at Mt Alexander.
Modelling and interpretation of the seismic data by independent seismic experts have resulted in the identification of two priority seismic targets for massive nickel-copper sulphides – S1 and S2.
The find is now a priority drilling target slated for the new year when the company has high hopes to discover a large-scale nickel, copper and platinum group elements deposit.

St George’s breakthrough success in FY20-21 came with MAD199, which delivered the deepest occurrence of massive sulphides discovered to date – more than 11 metres of high‐grade mineralisation from 333.5 metres downhole.
The growing number of significant mineralised intercepts and downhole EM conductors at West End and Investigators demonstrates a very large and fertile mineral system.
The company’s drill program will test the continuity of known high-grade mineralisation ahead of potential resource estimation.
To date, 35 holes have been completed for 6,264 metres drilled as part of the maiden drill program at the project in the Paterson region.
The soil anomaly has a strike of more than 1,600 metres, with assay values for nickel and copper exceeding those observed in soil surveys at the nickel-copper sulphide-bearing Cathedrals Belt.
Multiple drill holes have intersected prospective basement rocks which are indicative of potential base metal and gold mineralisation in the project area.
In its latest exploration update, St George has turned its attention to the West End, with all eyes on three electromagnetic conductors uncovered during a survey over a nickel-copper sulphide target.
