“We have been very busy since the commencement of the 2022 field season with diamond drilling at Mawson and regional aircore and MLTEM programs elsewhere in the Rockford Project area,” says MD.
The initial diamond drill holes of the new field season are designed to test targets which have been modelled from the recently completed seismic survey data along with Legend’s existing comprehensive datasets.

The company has completed the data collection phase of its activities at the prospect and will use assay results to define and rank new diamond drilling targets for the 2022 field season.
Geological, structural and geochemical datasets will be combined with seismic, gravity, magnetic and DHTEM datasets to design its 2022 diamond drill program to test targets for massive nickel-copper sulphide accumulation.
The data collection phase of the survey will be carried out on site over the coming weeks with the final processed results expected at the end of February 2022.

Legend now has three prospective locations - Mawson, Octagonal and Magnus - for the accumulation of the massive nickel-copper sulphides it was seeking.
