Galileo Mining Ltd (ASX:GAL) is exploring for palladium, platinum, nickel, copper, cobalt and rhodium at its Norseman and Fraser Range projects in Western Australia. Galileo's 100%-owned tenements near Norseman are highly prospective for palladium-copper-nickel sulphide deposits as highlighted by the Callisto discovery in 2022 The company also has joint ventures with the Creasy Group over tenements in the Fraser Range which are prospective for nickel-copper sulphide deposits similar to the operating Nova mine.

“While we are at an early stage in the discovery process, the thick and consistent zone of mineralisation, and the extensive prospective strike length, suggests the potential for a large mineralised system," says MD Brad Underwood.
“We continue to receive highly encouraging results from our Norseman project with disseminated nickel-copper sulphides intersected in every drill hole undertaken at our Mine Lease prospect," says MD.
Galileo Mining recently kickstarted reverse circulation drilling at high-priority sulphide targets across its Norseman Project in WA.
Galileo expects to provide another update with geological results once drilling wraps up, while lab assays are due around May or June this year.
“High nickel and cobalt assays, combined with elevated levels of precious metals (gold, palladium & platinum), suggest that the results may be related to basement mineralisation beneath and adjacent to the aircore drill holes," says MD.

Follow-up RC drilling is being planned beneath these palladium intercepts and aircore drilling is also planned along the 4 kilometres of untested Mission Sill target zone with no previous palladium exploration.

“We are looking forward to the start of our first drill campaign of the year and anticipate having preliminary geological results approximately two weeks after the commencement of drilling," says MD Brad Underwood.
“The results of our EM surveying at Norseman are exceptional and, combined with the identification of sulphide in aircore drilling, we now have well developed targets ready for drill testing,” says MD.
The EM results are expected in around two weeks with follow up drilling to commence post the completion of heritage surveys.
The company awaits assays from the Delta Blues prospect at Fraser Range in the first quarter of 2022 while first aircore drill samples from the Norseman Project are expected in January.

Galileo is targeting Nova style nickel-copper-cobalt mineralisation in the Fraser Range and has a deep level of experience in the region.
