The results effectively links the Templar and Crusader prospects together into one large mineralised system.
"With highly encouraging results from all holes in this RC drilling campaign, we are eagerly awaiting to see the geology and the potential mineralisation in the drilling from the diamond tails currently being drilled at Crusader,” says MD.
Nexus has also commenced a 2,300-metre metre diamond drilling program testing the Crusader, Templar and Paint prospects.
The company’s porphyry copper-gold fertility assessment work is aiming to identify pathfinder elements indicative of a magmatic-hydrothermal system.
In the June quarter, it completed two diamond drill holes at the Crusader Gold Prospect within the broader Wallbrook Project, which confirmed down-dip extensions.

The Crusader Prospect is part of the larger Wallbrook Project – that lies 150 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie and adjoins Northern Star’s multi-million-ounce Carosue Dam mining operations.
Strong results have been received from the start of the company’s 2021 exploration drilling, following on from the high-grade assays received across multiple prospects at the Wallbrook Project in 2020.
The targeted company owns 100% of the Bethanga Porphyry Copper-Gold project tenements in northeast Victoria spread over 194 square kilometres of landholding.
This will include multi-phase reverse circulation and diamond drill programs across a number of prospect areas, including Crusader, Templar and Paint.
The company is planning reverse circulation and diamond drilling programs with the drill rigs targeted to start in early March.
The feasibility study will incorporate resource definition drilling, geotechnical drilling, environmental studies and metallurgical test-work along with other key assessments and permitting.
The drill program tested the zone from 100 metres to 150 metres depth with mineralisation remaining open at depth and along strike.
