Nexus Minerals hits further broad, high-grade porphyry gold at Crusader within Wallbrook Gold Project

The company is actively exploring for gold deposits on its highly prospective tenement package in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.

Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) has intersected further high-grade, broad porphyry gold at Crusader prospect within the Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia with multiple results returning more than 5 g/t gold within the mineralised zone.

The 2021 RC drill program at Crusader is testing for depth and strike extensions to the mineralisation intersected in Nexus' diamond drilling in 2021 and RC drilling in 2020.

New intersections include 10 metres at 6.42 g/t gold including 1-metre at 41.23 g/t within 17 metres at 3.97 g/t from 187 metres; 16 metres at 5.62 g/t including 4 metres at 11.74 g/t within 20 metres at 4.54 g/t from 140 metres; and 3 metres at 5.13 g/t within 7 metres at 2.43 g/t from 221 metres.

“Excellent continuity”

Nexus managing director Any Tudor said: “These results from Crusader have again shown excellent continuity of mineralisation and broad, high-grade gold intercepts.

“We are now eagerly awaiting the balance of results from samples submitted and the completion of this phase of the drilling program.”

The Crusader RC drill program has now completed with four RC holes replaced with RC pre-collars and diamond tails still to be drilled.

Partial results only from 3,400 metres and 10 RC holes received to date, with samples from a further 1,925 metres of eight RC holes submitted for analysis.

Future drilling

Future drill programs at Crusader will test for depth extensions to the mineralisation, as well as testing for further strike extensions to the Crusader-Templar mineralised corridor that currently extends over 1.6 kilometres of strike, constrained only by the extent of drilling completed by Nexus to date.

A 6,000 metre RC program is underway at Templar to extend the broad high-grade mineralised zone intersected in the company’s previous drill programs.
