St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ, FRA:S0G, OTC:SGQMF) has reported more thick, high-grade rare earths and niobium intercepts from diamond drilling at its wholly owned Araxá Rare Earths and Niobium Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The latest assays have again highlighted extensive niobium mineralisation at Araxá, with broad high-grade intervals starting from surface. The company said the strong niobium results reflect the project’s location within the Barreiro Carbonatite, next to CBMM’s operations, the world’s largest niobium producer.

The patent, EP3713554, protects label-relevant dosing regimens of vidofludimus calcium and broadly covers the compound and its salt, solvate and free acid forms when used according to the approved label, the company said. Imugene Ltd (ASX:IMU, OTC:IUGNF, FRA:ILA) is drawing fresh attention to its experimental cancer therapy azer-cel after a Channel 10 news report highlighted a patient who entered remission following treatment in the company’s clinical trial.

The report followed Central Coast mother Judy Proctor, who had spent nearly a decade battling aggressive blood cancer and had exhausted standard treatment options before enrolling in the trial. Doctors involved in her care said that without another option she may have had only weeks to live.

The company’s subsidiary, Arafura Nolans Project Pty Ltd, has entered into a compensation deed with ATAYF Pastoralists Pty Ltd, the holder of the pastoral lease covering the Nolans project site. As part of the agreement, ATAYF will receive A$4 million in Arafura shares and will also invest A$1.2 million in cash in the company.

Clinical-stage immuno-oncology company Imugene Ltd (ASX:IMU, OTC:IUGNF, FRA:ILA) has reported encouraging early response rates from the CAR T-naïve cohort of its ongoing Phase 1b trial evaluating azer-cel, an off-the-shelf cell therapy being tested across several advanced B-cell cancers.

Early data from the study showed a 100% overall response rate (ORR) in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), while patients with marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) recorded an 80% ORR, including several complete responses.
