Ilika PLC (AIM:IKA, OTCQX:ILIKF, FRA:I8A), the UK solid-state battery pioneer, has completed its first revenue-generating delivery to Cirtec Medical, a contract manufacturer specialising in active implantable medical devices.
The company shipped an initial batch of commercial-grade Stereax electrodes to Cirtec, which announced a commercial supply arrangement with Ilika in January 2026 to support its M300 battery manufacturing.
The Stereax M300 is a solid-state battery designed for implantable medical applications, including neurostimulators, orthopaedic implants, orthodontic wearables and ophthalmology devices.
Cirtec will use the electrodes for product validation and customer sampling across that range of active implantable medical device (AIMD) applications.
Shawn Martin, vice president at Cirtec Medical, said the technical cooperation between the two companies had developed into "an effective operational partnership."
Graeme Purdy, chief executive of Ilika, said the milestone demonstrated that the company's UK facility could deliver commercial-grade electrodes at scale.
Ilika is listed on AIM, the London Stock Exchange's market for smaller companies, and has positioned its Stereax platform as a solution for miniaturised medical implants requiring long-lasting, rechargeable power sources.
