Highlights include Total Rare Earth Oxide (TREO) grades ranging between 0.40% and 0.42%, with heavy rare earth oxides (HREO) comprising around 26% of TREO. Drilling also intersected zirconium oxide (ZrO₂) grades of 1.57–1.58% and gallium oxide (Ga₂O₃) assays of 93–99 parts per million (ppm). All reported holes were drilled vertically through sub-horizontal kakortokite layers, intersecting mineralisation at approximately true thicknesses. Mineralisation remains open at depth.
Kairos Minerals Ltd (ASX:KAI, OTCQB:KAIFF) has reported further wide and high-grade intercepts from drilling at the Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia, supporting the case for resource growth at the Main Hill prospect.
Results include 84 metres at 1.10 g/t gold from 38 metres within 144 metres at 0.90 g/t gold, as well as high-grade intersections such as 1.65 metres at 14.98 g/t gold. Main Hill is shaping as a mineralised zone up to 100 metres wide and more than 1 kilometre long.
Drilling from the first nine holes of a 45-hole, 15,300-metre program at Ora Banda Mining Ltd (ASX:OBM, OTC:ESGFF)'s Waihi deposit has delivered outstanding results. The program intersected a new gold lode near the historical Golden Pole Mine, with results including 13.5 metres at 6.1 grams per tonne (g/t) and 8.0 metres at 8.7 g/t, as well as extensions on the Waihi West Lode down to more than 350 metres below surface, highlighted by 3.9 metres at 29.5 g/t.
The Waihi deposit, located 3 kilometres from Ora Banda’s Davyhurst processing plant, is being advanced as a potential third underground mine alongside Riverina and Sand King. Significant results to date reinforce this strategy, with further drilling to test both new targets and extensions of known mineralisation.
