Kairos intercepts wide gold zones at Mt York’s Main Hill

Kairos Minerals Ltd (ASX:KAI, OTCQB:KAIFF) has reported further wide and high-grade intercepts from drilling at the Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia, supporting the case for resource growth at the Main Hill prospect.

Results include 84 metres at 1.10 g/t gold from 38 metres within 144 metres at 0.90 g/t gold, as well as high-grade intersections such as 1.65 metres at 14.98 g/t gold. Main Hill is shaping as a mineralised zone up to 100 metres wide and more than 1 kilometre long.

Best intercepts include:

  • 84m @ 1.10 g/t Au from 38m (within an envelope of 144m @ 0.90 g/t Au from 8m) including 20m @ 2.08 g/t Au from 38m (25MYDD041)
  • 6m @ 1.7 g/t Au from 26m and 14m @ 1.93 g/t Au from 62m (25MYDD042)
  • 1.65m @ 14.98 g/t Au from 100.35m (25MYDD043)

The outer grade shell is >0.1 g/t Au. Looking northeast. Historic results are from drill results from ASX announcements dated July 17 & August 6, 2025.

Additional drilling has also been completed to extend the recently discovered ‘Monster Zone’, with assays pending.

“Drilling into Main Hill Prospect was highly anticipated by the technical team and has been very rewarding. These latest drilling results are significant for several reasons,” Kairos managing director Dr Peter Turner said.

“Firstly, they confirm consistent wide zones of gold mineralisation at Main Hill consistent with the very wide and thickest parts of the banded iron formation that make up the largest hill over the 3km-long mineralised trend.

“Secondly, they confirm the presence of higher-grade gold mineralisation within the lower-grade envelope Main Trend, and in many cases, multiple zones of higher-grade gold.”

Strong drill intercepts underpin expansion potential

The latest nine-hole program included five holes at Main Hill, one at Breccia Hill and three at Pebble Mound.

Standout results came from Main Hill, with hole 25MYDD041 returning 144 metres at 0.90 g/t gold from 8 metres, including 84 metres at 1.10 g/t gold from 38 metres.

Other intersections included 6 metres at 1.7 g/t gold from 26 metres and 14 metres at 1.93 g/t gold from 62 metres in hole 25MYDD042, and 1.65 metres at 14.98 g/t gold from 100.35 metres in hole 25MYDD043.

Note that the Main Hill Extension mineralisation on the PLS licence (far left of figure) is not included in the Kairos resource model. Drilling on PLS licence E45/2241 is subject to finalising a mineral rights agreement with PLS and then fulfilling relevant terms and conditions thereunder. The mineralisation lies within banded iron formation units, which could provide favourable mining economics due to low strip ratios.

Main Hill emerging as a significant gold target

Main Hill is proving to be a major mineralised system, with zones exceeding 100 metres in width and extending for over 1 kilometre along strike. The deposit sits above the surrounding terrain, with mineralisation cropping out at surface.

This geometry positions Main Hill as a potentially low-cost development target.

Kairos’ structural model has been validated, showing multiple, consistent zones of gold mineralisation within broader lower-grade envelopes. The results are expected to have a positive impact on Kairos’ next mineral resource estimate.

Monster Zone follow-up drilling completed

Kairos recently announced the discovery of the ‘Monster Zone’, where hole 25MYDD031 intersected 53 metres at 1.45 g/t gold from 212 metres.

Five additional diamond drill holes have now been completed over a 400-metre strike length to test extensions and higher-grade shoots within this new zone. Results are expected within weeks.

This discovery represents a key growth opportunity for the Mt York resource base and is likely to underpin further drilling campaigns aimed at resource definition and expansion.

“In early August, we announced the discovery of a new wide zone of mineralisation we called ‘Monster’ that we believe will have a positive impact on the next resource estimate. Five additional drill holes have now been completed testing the Monster zone, with results awaited, and we are planning further additional drilling to better understand this exciting new zone,” Turner said.

“We look forward to announcing those results, along with the remaining drill results for Main Hill, in coming weeks.”

Resource expansion program advancing

Stage 1 of the Mt York drilling campaign comprises 80 holes for 18,000 metres, of which 59 holes totalling 15,509 metres have now been completed.

The program remains ahead of schedule and within budget.

The focus is on expanding resources at Main Hill while testing extensions of high-grade shoots across the broader Main Trend.

Stage 2 drilling, scheduled for late 2025 or early 2026, will aim to convert Inferred resources into Indicated resources. An updated mineral resource estimate is expected in the second half of 2025, incorporating the latest drilling data.

What’s next?

Kairos will continue finalising Stage 1 drilling and compiling geological and assay data for the upcoming resource update.

Other priorities include advancing a mineral rights agreement with Pilbara Minerals Ltd for additional ground, progressing negotiations with the Nyamal Aboriginal Corporation towards a mining agreement, and initiating pre-feasibility study work. This includes metallurgical testing on fresh, transitional and oxide ore.

With 1.4 million ounces already defined and recent discoveries pointing to further growth, Mt York is increasingly shaping as a cornerstone asset for Kairos in the Pilbara.
