Ecora Resources PLC (LSE:ECOR, TSX:ECOR, OTCQX:ECRAF) announced it will appoint Michael Falconer as a non-executive director, effective 9 September, as nominee of shareholder South32 Ltd (LSE:S32, OTC:SHTLF).
South32 is entitled to have a director on the Ecora board whilst it holds at least 10% of Ecora’s shares, according to an agreement between the firms.
Ecora noted that Falconer has more than 20 years of experience in the mining industry, having held senior roles at Lonmin, BHP, and as vice president of business development at South32.
“We welcome South32's nomination of Michael to the Board,” said Ecora chairman Andrew Webb.
"His familiarity with the operations underlying the portfolio of royalties the Group acquired from South32 in 2022, together with his business development background in the mining sector complement our existing board skillset."
Webb added: "We look forward to Michael's contribution and the ongoing support of South32 as Ecora continues to grow its portfolio of critical mineral focused royalties."
