SCB Group announced it has installed solar panels for nine rural schools in Malawi with buildOn, a US non-governmental organisation, in 2021.

With its global arm focused on constructing a new school in eight countries, including Burkina Faso, Haiti, Mali, Malawi, Nepal, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Senegal, buildOn aims to "break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations at home and abroad".

Gratomic Inc. (TSX-V:GRAT, OTCQX:CBULF) told investors that its technical team has initiated preliminary engineering for its 100%-owned Capim Grosso project in Brazil’s Bahia State.

Revealing its preliminary process flow diagram for the project, the company said the engineering will include completing a mass and water balance process flow diagram (PFD), and process design criteria (PDC). This engineering design will facilitate the development of preliminary operating and capital expenses for the project, it added.

Kodal Minerals PLC (AIM:KOD) said it continued to make progress on the development of the Bougouni lithium project, following a site visit last month, and also reported wide intersections of gold mineralisation from drilling at the Fatou gold project.

“During the site visit to Mali in January, meetings were held with the Minister of Mines to discuss our upcoming work and development programme,” said chief executive Bernard Aylward. “Kodal continues to receive strong support from the Mali government and regional officials for the development of a new lithium mine in the Bougouni region."

Frontier IP Group PLC (AIM:FIPP), an investor in early-stage companies, said it sold further shares in Exscientia PLC, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven drug developer, for a net $4.3mln (£3.2mln).

The specialist in commercialising intellectual property sold 207,299 American Depositary Shares (ADS) in Exscientia between February 1 and February 11. It will use the proceeds for general working capital purposes and to provide further support to its existing portfolio companies.
