Life insurance provider Chesnara PLC (LSE:CSN) has added two new members to its board as it continues its expansion plans, it announced today.
Carol Hagh and Karin Bergstein will be proposed for election as non-executive directors at the company’s AGM on 17 May.
Hagh will join the nomination & governance committee and remuneration committee, while Bergstein will link up with Chesnara PLC (LSE:CSN) audit & risk committee and nomination & governance committee.
The appointments increase the size of the board to six, up from five, with one member replacing Veronica Oak, who retired in January.
Hagh was previously head of the UK insurance practice at the executive search firm Spencer Stuart, following numerous roles with Aviva and Aegon.
Chesnara says Bergstein comes with a proven track record in M&A and digital transformation. She was previously chief finance officer at Aidence N.V., and has held senior executive positions at ING Bank.
Chaesnara has enjoyed share price growth of 5.67% since the start of February, as it was granted a £200mln debt issuance to go towards investments and acquisitions.
