Firebird Metals Ltd has been granted Mining Lease ML 52/1086 for its 100%-owned Oakover Manganese Project, located 85 kilometres east of Newman in Western Australia. The lease covers a substantial area of 3,429.8 hectares, encompassing key deposits, including Sixty Sixer, Jay Eye, and Karen Pits, as well as proposed infrastructure for processing, tailings storage, and waste management.

Sintana Energy Inc (TSX-V:SEI, OTCQB:SEUSF) said on Monday that efforts are underway to secure a new farm-in partner for Petroleum Exploration License 87 (PEL 87) in Namibia’s Orange Basin after Woodside Energy (GOM) Inc. decided not to exercise its option to participate in the project.

In a statement, Sintana said that Woodside made its decision in advance of the long stop date of May 2025 rather than waiting until the last possible moment to confirm or decline participation.

Latrobe Magnesium Ltd has received approval for its request for a 250-megawatt (MW) hydropower allocation for its proposed 100,000-tonne-per-annum magnesium production facility in Sarawak, Malaysia. The approval is contingent on finalising a Terms Sheet, executing a Power Purchase Agreement with Sarawak Energy, and meeting additional conditions set by the Sarawak Government.

“This is a major milestone for our Sarawak project as demand for power in Sarawak far exceeds supply. Without this allocation, our project would not be able to proceed,” LMG stated.

Altech Batteries Ltd has received environmental and construction approval (BimSch-G) for its 120 MWh CERENERGY® GridPack production facility in Saxony, Germany. This milestone approval allows its joint venture subsidiary, Altech Batteries GmbH, to move forward with site clearing and construction, pending the successful completion of project financing.

The approval follows an application process initiated in September 2023. Altech, in partnership with engineering subcontractor LEADEC and architecture and balance-of-plant subcontractor ARIKON, submitted an application for the proposed construction and operation of the 120-megawatt-hour (MWh) CERENERGY® battery project.
