Marshall Abbott, CEO of Arrow Exploration Corp (TSX-V:AXL, AIM:AXL, OTC:CSTPF), shared an optimistic outlook on the company's onshore oil operations in Colombia at a recent One2One Investor Forum in London.

Describing it as a "Klondike" environment for nimble operators, with increasing production, a focus on horizontal drilling, and substantial reserves, Abbott told attendees that the company is well-positioned for growth in Colombia.

IP Group PLC (LSE:IPO) is set to realise a 485% return on its investment into Mike Lynch-backed fraud-detection group Featurespace following an acquisition by global payment giant Visa.

FTSE 250-listed IP Group will receive £134 million in cash following the acquisition, making for a bumper return from £22.9 million worth of investments over seven financing rounds.

Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) shares rose almost 5% after it said "significant progress" has been made on two of the conditions needed to complete its acquisition from Newmont Corporation (NYSE:NEM, TSX:NGT, ASX:NEM).

Two weeks ago the AIM-listed company struck a US$475 million deal to acquire a 70% ownership interest in the Havieron gold-copper project, 100% ownership of the Telfer gold-copper mine, and other related interests in assets in the Paterson region, subject to certain conditions.

Pantheon International PLC (LSE:PIN) continued its share buyback during August and made one new direct investment as its portfolio generated cash distributions of £14.2 million of cash.

Anglo Asian Mining PLC (AIM:AAZ, OTC:AGXKF) said it is ramping up to full production after receiving authorisation to raise the tailings dam wall at the Gedabek mine.

Construction of the new wall started on 6 August 2024, with the mine now moving towards normalised production again, according to the gold and copper miner.

Zephyr Energy PLC (AIM:ZPHR, OTCQB:ZPHRF) chief executive Colin Harrington, in today’s interim results, told investors he was delighted with recent testing, and in the coming months he looks forward to the ongoing transformation of the Paradox project into a revenue-generating asset.

At Paradox, in Utah, the focus has been on a phase of well testing designed to demonstrate the project’s viability and merit – it recently resulted in peak production rates of more than 2,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day from the State 36-2R well.

Ora Banda Mining Ltd (ASX:OBM) has adjusted the remuneration arrangements for managing director Luke Creagh, and extended his contract agreement for a further five years to June 30, 2030.

The company advises that following “the significant improvement in the performance and financial viability of the company since the appointment of Creagh to the position of CEO/managing director in July 2022, Ora Banda has determined to bring Creagh’s remuneration package in line with market.”
