ANGLE PLC (AIM:AGL, OTCQX:ANPCY) has announced the 100th peer-reviewed publication supporting the use of its Parsortix system, a liquid biopsy tool for isolating and analysing circulating tumour cells (CTCs).
The study, conducted by Italy's Fondazione IRCCS, focused on triple-negative breast cancer, using whole genomic sequencing and machine learning to identify key cancer genes.
Parsortix was used to harvest intact cancer cells from blood samples, enabling a detailed genetic analysis. ANGLE highlights that research using the Parsortix system spans 24 cancer types and 42 institutions, showing its potential to enhance personalised cancer treatment through cost-effective, advanced molecular testing.
"This publication marks a decade of independent research where the Parsortix system has been used to provide insights into tumour biology, metastatic progression and treatment response," said chief scientific officer Karen Miller.
