Northern Bear’s principal activity is to acquire and continue to operate businesses in the North of England active in the building services sector, and to further augment these acquisitions by organic growth. As of March 31, 2008, there were 12 businesses in the Northern Bear Group. Some of its subsidiaries include Ron Gone Limited, Isoler Limited, Dudley Wilson Limited, Kelmax Roofing Limited, Maximuse Limited, MGM Limited, Springs Roofing Limited, Hastie D Burton Limited and Jennings Properties Limited. On May 11, 2007, the company acquired 100% of Chirmarn Holdings Limited and subsidiaries. On May 31, 2007, Northern Bear PLC acquired 100% of Hastie Limited and subsidiary. On November 12, 2007, it acquired 100% of Jennings Properties Limited and subsidiary. In April 2008, the company announced the acquisition of A1 Industrial Trucks Limited and D J McGough Limited.
