Winkworth, the London estate agency franchise business, has paused its High Court battle with non-executive chair Simon Agace while the two sides try to settle.
A consent order, an agreement between the parties that the court has formally approved, has been sealed.
Undertakings Agace gave in August remain in force until the dispute is resolved or the court orders otherwise.
All further proceedings are stayed for one month, and a hearing listed for 5 October has been adjourned.
Winkworth issued the claim in August, alleging breaches of confidentiality, its 2009 relationship agreement with Agace, and director duties under the Companies Act 2006.
Separately, Winkworth has hired an external firm to review its board.
Initial recommendations cover board composition, and the company is now weighing the balance of independence across the chair and non-executive roles.
