IG Design Group buys US home décor and lifestyle product supplier Lang Companies

RISERS

Advanced Oncotherapy (LON: AVO) up 11.74% at 138p. The developer of next-generation proton therapy systems for cancer treatment said Fairford Capital Ltd, owned by non-executive director Michael Bradfield, bought 10,000 shares at 119.50p each.

IG Design Group plc (formerly International Greetings plc) up 11.1% at 175.5p. Designer and manufacturer of gift packaging and greetings buys US home décor and lifestyle product supplier Lang Companies Inc.

IP Group Plc (LON: IPO) up 9.4% at 159.7p. Developer of intellectual property-based businesses, said portfolio drug company Diurnal Group plc announced positive headline data from its European phase III study for Infacort(R) to treat paediatric adrenal insufficiency (AI), several months ahead of schedule.

FALLERS

Onzima Ventures PLC (LON:ONZ) down 9.5% at 1.425p. N4 Pharma Limited, Onzima’s 49%-owned investee company, has filed 17 novel patents to reformulate Losartan and 12 novel patents to reformulate Valsartan.

President Energy PLC(LON:PPC) down 3.2% at 7.5p. Oil and gas company said chairman Peter Levine bought 503,750 ordinary shares at 7.4672p per share, giving him a 23.29% stake.

Scientific Digital Imaging plc (LON:SDI) down 2.7% at 9p. Scientific and technology product group welcomes further government guidance on decontamination of surgical instruments.

RISERS

Ortac Resources Limited (LON:OTC), up 19%. Shares shot up after the exploration group won a legal challenge in Slovakia.

Northern Bear Plc (LON:NTBR), up 11%. Building firm Northern Bear’s full-year profits held steady while net debt came down substantially.

Landore Resources Limited (LON:LND), up 9.8%. The company has disposed of non-core asset - the Root Lake Lithium property in Ontario - after Ardiden Limited exercised its previously announced option.

FALLERS

Opera Investments Plc (LON:OPRA), down 18%. The company has pulled out of the deal under which it would acquire Highlands Natural Resources Plc’s subsidiary, Highlands Helium Development Limited.

Earthport plc (LON:EPO), down 9.4%. Ruffer has upped its stake from less than 5% to 6%.

Vislink PLC (LON:VLK), down 7.9%. Hargreave Hale has trimmed its stake from 13.6mln shares to 13.4mln.

Sound Energy PLC (LON:SOU), up 14%. The good news keeps on coming for the energy firm, which revealed this morning that results from the new well at the Tendrara project, onshore Morocco, are already above company expectations.

Surface Transforms PLC (LON:SCE), up 12%. The carbon fibre specialist has signed a pre-production technology development agreement with a German performance car manufacturer.

Collagen Solutions PLC (LON:COS), up 10%. Full-year revenues for the biomaterials company were comfortably ahead of market expectations.

FALLERS

Goldplat PLC (LON:GDP), down 17%. Shares have been knocked by reports of a dispute with one of its major business partners, the Rand Refinery.

Frenkel Topping Group PLC (LON:FEN), down 4.5%. The specialist independent financial advisor and asset manager’s half-year results revealed profits had halved from the year before.

SThree PLC (LON:STHR), down 3.3%. Interims from the staffing firm were slightly disappointing, with adjusted profit before tax up 9% year-on-year, though reported profit was down 7%.
