Orica Limited is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of mining products and services, consumer products and chemical products and services. It has five business segments: Mining Services, Minova, Consumer Products, Chemicals and Other. The Mining Services segment manufactures and supplies explosives and mining services, initiating systems and blasting technology. Minova segment manufactures and supplies specialty bolts, accessories and chemicals for stabilization and ventilation systems. Consumer Products segment manufactures and supplies paints and other surface coatings. The Chemicals Manufactures segment distributes and trades industrial and specialty chemicals for use in industries. Other segment includes minor activities, operation of the Botany Groundwater Recycling Business, non-operating assets, corporate and support costs and financial items, such as foreign currency gains/losses. On September 4, 2008, it acquired Arnall Poland Sp z o.o.
