1911 Gold Corp (TSX-V:AUMB, OTCQB:AUMBF, FRA:2KY) reported assay results Thursday from an underground drill program at the True North Gold Project in southeast Manitoba, confirming a link between the L10 Zone and the larger 710-711 Zone.
The results are from eight diamond drill holes totaling 2,955 metres, drilled from Level 16 to test extensions of the L10 vein system and confirm its connection to the 710-711 vein system, an area the company calls the "L10/710-711 Complex Link."
Hole UG16-26-076 returned 50.61 grams per tonne gold over 1.60 metres, including 65.80 g/t over 1.00 metre. Hole UG16-26-072 returned 10.73 g/t gold over 8.90 metres, including 16.12 g/t over 5.40 metres and 49.50 g/t over 0.80 metres. Holes UG16-26-074 and UG16-26-068 also returned notable results.
The company said drilling confirmed extensions of gold mineralization outside its 2024 mineral resource estimate, on veins linking L10 with the 710-711 Zone at depth.
Results from the program will be incorporated into a global mineral resource estimate expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
"Over the last two years, our exploration program has systematically tested the true size potential of the True North mine lease area, beginning with surface drilling that led to several new discoveries," said Shaun Heinrichs, 1911’s CEO.
The high-grade result “deliver(ed) exactly the kind of upside we were targeting,” Heinrichs said, and will be incorporated into our fall resource estimate.
“The results from our ongoing exploration program continue to underscore True North's growth potential, which is central to the district-scale opportunity."
1911 Gold has now completed 20 drill holes for 6,563 metres as part of the L10 resource expansion program, with 11 holes confirming the L10/710-711 Complex Link. Additional results from resource expansion, infill and delineation drilling at True North are pending.
Wireframe modelling is underway for an updated True North resource estimate, which will combine with the Ogama-Rockland Gold Project into a global update incorporating drilling at San Antonio West, San Antonio Southeast, Shore, L10, and the 007 and Hinge Zones.
Three underground rigs are currently focused on infill and delineation drilling for the early years of the Preliminary Economic Assessment mine plan, with a fourth to be added once Level 26 rehabilitation is complete.
