Solis Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:SLMN, ASX:SLM, OTCQB:SLMFF, FRA:08WA) has kicked off diamond drilling at its 100%-owned Cinto Copper Project in southern Peru, beginning an initial program of around five holes for 2,500 metres designed to test high-priority porphyry copper targets.

The program will investigate coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies, including targets generated by induced polarisation (IP) surveying and areas where previous surface sampling returned copper grades of up to 8.7%.

Among the first five holes analysed, Tertiary reported 66 metres grading 37 grams per tonne silver, 0.28% copper and 0.27% zinc from seven metres downhole, equivalent to 58 g/t silver. A further 73-metre intersection returned 45 g/t silver equivalent from nine metres, while 57 metres from 34 metres downhole graded 55 g/t silver equivalent.

88 Energy Ltd (AIM:88E, ASX:88E, OTCQB:EEENF, FRA:POQ) shares climbed on Tuesday after it told investors that its Namibia joint venture has applied to move PEL 93 into its next two-year exploration phase, putting at least one exploration well on the work programme as nearby drilling provides further evidence of hydrocarbons in the Owambo Basin.

The application covers a Second Renewal Exploration Period starting on 3 October 2026 and follows integration of around 6,000 line-kilometres of airborne geophysical data.

The AIM-listed energy group signed a framework agreement supporting Etu Energias’ acquisition of an additional 31% working interest in offshore Block 14 and 15.5% in Block 14K. In return for operational and technical support, Chariot said its interest carries an indicative net NPV10 of more than US$100 million at a US$60 per barrel oil price.
