Bradda Head Lithium kicks off Whistlejacket drilling in Arizona

Bradda Head Lithium Ltd (AIM:BHL) told investors it has started drilling at its Whistlejacket lithium project in Arizona as it works towards establishing a maiden mineral resource estimate.

The infill exploration programme will test and expand priority lithium-bearing pegmatite targets, drawing on historical drilling alongside Bradda Head’s geological mapping, surface sampling and recent high-grade assay results.

Whistlejacket, which is subject to an Option to Joint Venture agreement with Kennecott Exploration Company, covers 2,010.7 hectares across nine Arizona State Land Department mineral exploration permits.

Previous Kennecott exploration included 19 diamond holes totalling 4,188 metres, all of which intersected lithium mineralisation. Results included 51.0 metres grading 1.11% Li₂O and 19.47 metres at 1.66% Li₂O.

Executive chairman Ian Stalker said the programme was designed to demonstrate “further scale and continuity of mineralisation” as the company moves towards a maiden resource estimate.

"The programme targets priority lithium-bearing pegmatites identified through extensive mapping, sampling and historical drilling, with the objective of demonstrating further scale and continuity of mineralisation across Whistlejacket and move towards a Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate," he added.
