The Small Cap Wrap: American Rare Earths maps out district-scale growth; St George Mining hits record 178m high-grade intercept at Araxá...

Cavendish sees very substantial upside for 88 Energy Ltd (AIM:88E, ASX:88E, OTCQB:EEENF, FRA:POQ) after the AIM-listed explorer secured access to a 3D seismic dataset over its Kad River East acreage in Alaska, with the broker reiterating a Buy rating and 19.8p target price (compared to the current price of 1.5p per share).

The stockbroker, in a note, highlighted that the firm's newly licensed Kad River 3D survey covers the entirety of the recently acquired leases and strengthens the case for an active, multi-reservoir petroleum system already indicated by legacy 2D seismic and historic well data.

Orthocell Ltd (ASX:OCC, OTC:ORHHF)’s push into the US market is starting to put real numbers behind a long-anticipated commercial transition.

After years of development, regulatory work and early offshore sales, the company is now building a footprint for its nerve repair device Remplir in what is both its largest opportunity and its most demanding market. Early adoption trends — spanning hospitals, surgeons and repeat usage — suggest the rollout is gaining traction, while the threshold to profitability remains relatively low compared with the size of the addressable market.

Askari Metals Ltd (ASX:AS2, FRA:7ZG) recently disclosed new Phase 1 trenching results from the OP pegmatite target at the Uis Project in Namibia, with executive director Gino D’Anna saying the work had confirmed continuous polymetallic mineralisation across a large-scale system.

Speaking with Proactive, D’Anna said the project was strategically positioned alongside the operating Uis tin mine, owned by Andrada, and noted that the neighbouring operation provided an important reference point because it was mining the same style of pegmatite mineralisation. He said the latest results suggested Askari Metals Ltd had identified “that same continuous polymetallic mineralisation in a very significant system of pegmatite”.

Aruma Resources Ltd (ASX:AAJ) recently outlined progress at the Tillex Copper-Silver Project in Ontario, where a recently completed electromagnetic (EM) survey has strengthened the company’s confidence in the project’s scale potential.

Managing director Grant Ferguson said the survey had identified a “significant conductor that’s parallel and coincident to the known wide copper mineralisation,” extending from around 150 metres to approximately 400 metres depth. He noted that this result provides clear and high-priority targets for the company’s upcoming maiden drilling campaign.

Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd (ASX:COB, OTC:CBBHF, FRA:COH) recently announced a consortium agreement with US-based Glomar Minerals to advance Project Infinity, a proposed polymetallic nodule processing facility in the United States, marking a strategic step into the rapidly evolving critical minerals sector.

Latitude 66 (ASX:LAT) has moved to secure tenure over its KSB gold-cobalt project in northern Finland, lodging exploration permit applications covering the K1, K2 and K3 prospect areas. Permit applications over K1, K2 and K3 would give the company control of its full gold-cobalt resource base as it advances optimisation work, drilling and prefeasibility planning.

That matters because KSB is already a sizeable gold-cobalt project with an indicated and inferred mineral resource of 7.3Mt at 2.7 grams per ton (g/t) gold for 650,000 ounces and 0.08% cobalt for 5,840 tonnes, with more than 85% of the resource in the indicated category.
