Sovereign Metals Ltd (ASX:SVM, OTC:SVMLF, AIM:SVML, FRA:SVM) shares rose 25% to 38p after the company revealed the successful recovery of high-value heavy rare earths from tailings at its Kasiya project in Malawi, a development that could add a third revenue stream at near-zero cost.

Monazite concentrate extracted during rutile processing was found to contain exceptional levels of dysprosium, terbium and yttrium — rare earths critical to defence, aerospace and advanced electronics.

Ariana Resources PLC (AIM:AAU, ASX:AA2, FRA:4A6) has reported more encouraging drilling results from its Tavşan gold mine in western Türkiye, with new assays from the Main and South Zones pointing to further resource growth at the project.

The update follows a November announcement of high-grade gold hits from the North Zone. The latest results come from 85 drill holes and include intercepts such as 15.7 metres grading 1.51 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 7.82g/t of silver from surface, and 7.4 metres at 2.76g/t gold from just under 17 metres depth.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX:TLX) ticked two important boxes this week: it met full-year revenue guidance and notched a fresh regulatory milestone in China. Yet the market response has been unforgiving.

The radiopharmaceuticals group fell more than 7% on Tuesday to $10.62, extending a bruising six-month decline that has now erased more than half its market value. The move came despite confirmation that Telix delivered US$804 million in FY25 revenue and despite China’s drug regulator accepting a new drug application for its prostate cancer imaging agent, Illuccix.

Nova Minerals Ltd (ASX:NVA, NASDAQ:NVA, OTC:NVAAF, FRA:QM3) has confirmed the potential for a higher-grade starter pit at its Korbel Main Deposit after shallow reverse circulation (RC) drilling outlined a near-surface core grading up to 1.2 g/t gold within the broader bulk-tonnage resource.

The 2025 RC program targeted the upper portion of the Korbel Main resource, which currently stands at 800 Mt at 0.3 g/t Au for 6.64 Moz, part of the wider Korbel Gold Deposit containing a combined 8.65 Moz of gold when including the Cathedral Deposit.

Atomic Eagle Ltd (ASX:AEU, FRA:6QZ0) has intersected broad zones of shallow, flat-lying uranium mineralisation in its first drilling at the Muntanga East target in Zambia, strengthening the case for near-term resource growth at the broader Muntanga Uranium Project.

Results from the maiden drill program — the first at Muntanga East in more than a decade — delivered multiple thick intercepts at relatively modest depths, with most mineralisation occurring within 50 metres of surface. The shallow geometry supports the company’s strategy of targeting bulk, low-strip open-pittable uranium mineralisation close to its existing resource base.

Sovereign Metals Ltd (ASX:SVM, OTC:SVMLF, AIM:SVML, FRA:SVM) has recovered a monazite product containing heavy rare earth elements from the tailings stream generated during rutile processing at its Kasiya Rutile-Graphite Project in Malawi.

The monazite concentrate was produced at Sovereign's upgraded Lilongwe laboratory facilities from material that would otherwise be discarded — specifically, the non-conductor tailings stream from electrostatic separation of a heavy mineral gravity concentrate derived from Kasiya ore.

Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) has delivered a fresh batch of high-grade gold intercepts from extensional drilling at its Kamperman deposit, reinforcing growth potential at the Feysville Gold Project in Western Australia, while diamond drilling at the Mandilla Project’s cornerstone Theia deposit has confirmed additional high-grade structures within and adjacent to the existing resource.

The company said results from both projects point to opportunities to lift overall grade, expand resources and better define high-grade shoots as it ramps up exploration activity through 2026.
