Drilling at AAriana Resources PLC (AIM:AAU, ASX:AA2, FRA:4A6)Tavşan gold project in western Türkiye indicates the potential to link the Main and South Zones, according to results from the company's ongoing 85-hole programme.
SP Angel notes that these findings support the view that Tavşan’s mineralisation could extend beyond the currently planned pit areas.
The market liked the news, kicking the stock 5% higher to 1.52p.
The programme, which includes both infill and expansion drilling, returned notable intercepts such as 15.7 metres at 1.51g/t gold and 7.82g/t silver from surface in hole TAV-D014-25.
Additional results include 7.4 metres grading 2.76g/t gold and 3.10g/t silver from 16.9 metres, and 9.7 metres at 1.91g/t gold and 3.27g/t silver starting at less than a metre depth.
Managing director Kerim Sener stated the results show the Main Zone extending into the South Zone, with further potential as drilling continues into the West and East Zones.
A JORC-compliant resource update is planned for the second quarter of 2026, following completion of the full 15,000-metre programme.
This latest update comes after the project's first gold pour in December, with Ariana holding a 23.5% stake. SP Angel highlights the continued drilling effort and the anticipated resource update as key catalysts for the company’s progress at Tavşan.
