Ariana Resources reports further gold intercepts at Tavşan as drilling continues

Ariana Resources PLC (AIM:AAU, ASX:AA2, FRA:4A6) has reported more encouraging drilling results from its Tavşan gold mine in western Türkiye, with new assays from the Main and South Zones pointing to further resource growth at the project.

The update follows a November announcement of high-grade gold hits from the North Zone. The latest results come from 85 drill holes and include intercepts such as 15.7 metres grading 1.51 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 7.82g/t of silver from surface, and 7.4 metres at 2.76g/t gold from just under 17 metres depth.

Drilling is still underway across the West and East Zones, with the company expecting to complete a 15,000-metre campaign in the second quarter of 2026, after which a new JORC-compliant resource update will be issued.

Kerim Sener, Ariana’s managing director, said the South Zone in particular had “significant potential for growth”, with parts of the area still untested. “These are another great set of results from the Main Zone at Tavşan extending into the South Zone,” he said.

The company is now revisiting its open-pit designs using a gold price of $3,500 per ounce, well above the levels used in earlier planning, which Sener said could bring additional resources into the mine plan and improve the project’s economics.

Ariana holds a 23.5% interest in Tavşan, which is part of its wider gold strategy in Türkiye and other parts of Europe and Africa.
