Africa Oil Corp (TSX:AOI) has exposure to what chief executive Roger Tucker described as “a new fairway opportunity” amid TotalEnergies discovery in the Mangetti-1X well, offshore Namibia.

The Canadian firm has a material economic interest in the new discovery via its 31.1% shareholding in Impact Oil & Gas, which in turn holds a 20% stake in the TotalEnergies-led project.

Tower Resources PLC (AIM:TRP) shares raced higher after the company secured an extension to the first exploration phase for the Thali licence, offshore in Cameroon.

The extension moves the deadline to drill a well out to 4 February 2025, enabling the company to continue its funding process and execution of the NJOM-3 well.

Quadrise PLC (AIM:QED) has signed up Cargill, a major supplier of renewable biofuels, and MAC Solutions (MAC2), part of Group Machiels, to produce its MSAR and bioMSAR alternative ship diesel for their forthcoming trials.

Under the collaboration agreement, the trials will be carried out using Quadrise equipment installed at the MAC2 facility in Antwerp.

Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1, OTCQB:HLOGF) chief exective Lorna Blaisse said downhole well testing has "clearly confirmed" the presence of a producing helium province in the Rukwa Rift Basin in Tanzania.

Results from the Itumbula West-1 well achieved a high helium flow to the surface, with concentrations reaching up to 4.7%, a figure nearly nine thousand times above background levels. Additionally, hydrogen was detected at a concentration of 2.2%, significantly surpassing background levels as well.
