Zephyr Energy PLC (AIM:ZPHR, OTCQB:ZPHRF) chief executive Colin Harrington told investors the team at the Paradox project seeks to expedite operations at site to allow drilling of the State 36-2R well as soon as possible.
The junior oil and gas firm, in a statement, gave a comprehensive update on its operations, focusing on its projects in the Paradox Basin, Utah, and the Williston Basin, in North Dakota.
In Utah, the company is gearing up for the 'twinned' redrill of the State 36-2 well, following the completion of extensive planning and having secured well control insurance. It has ticked off the majority of its preparation work including detailed planning, regulatory submissions, and on-site operations for drilling.
Zephyr now awaits the green light from the authorities.
"Our team continues its intensive and robust planning process for the State 36-2R well and once the sundry amendment to the drilling programme is approved, we will seek to expedite operations at site to commence drilling operations as soon as possible,” Harrington said in the statement.
"The team has done excellent work in progressing major contracts and infrastructure solutions, and we look forward to providing continued news flow over the coming weeks and months."
In North Dakota's Williston Basin, meanwhile, Zephyr noted the impact of extreme winter conditions which have led to temporary production shut-ins across the basin.
It said it has been in contact with operating partners to assess the impact of any temporary disruptions, and expects to provide investors with a further update before the end of February.
