Market movers - Glantus doubles, Tintra deal welcomed and Quiz raises more questions

Shares in AIM-listed Glantus Holdings PLC (AIM:GLAN) skyrocketed over 100% on Wednesday morning, after confirmation takeover talks were being held with US private equity investors.

Glantus updated talks had been taking place with Accel-KKR over “a possible cash offer for [its] entire share capital” in a statement on Wednesday.

Made Tech Group PLC (AIM:MTEC), a data and digital services contractor to the UK government, saw its shares rise around 5% in Wednesday morning’s deals, boosted by purchases by founder and chief executive Rory MacDonald.

A stock market statement disclosed that MacDonald bought 897,507 additional shares in the company at an average price of 17.14p.

Kazera Global PLC (AIM:KZG) shares dropped around 9% in Wednesday morning’s deals after the small-cap miner told investors that samples from the Walviskop project in South Africa showed raised levels of radioactivity.

The company, in a statement, said that it has now engaged with the national nuclear regulator in the country to determine whether any specific permitting is required for it to proceed.

Zinc Media (AIM:ZIN) climbed 7% higher in early deals on Wednesday after the TV, brand and audio production group released an upbeat trading statement ahead of today’s capital market day.

The company said total revenues were £31mln in the first half to end June, which is more than for the entire 2022 financial year.

Shares in fashion retailer Quiz PLC (AIM:QUIZ) have lurched 15% lower in the first hour of trading after the company reported challenging trading conditions amidst rising inflation.

Despite reporting a robust recovery for the year ending March 2023, with pre-tax profits of £2.3mln, a significant increase from approximately £800,000 a year earlier, Quiz has seen a downturn in sales recently.

Tintra PLC (AIM:TNT) shares jumped 15% higher after the fin-tech group announced the full repayment and termination of a share placement deed with Fintech Leaders Fund (FLF).

FLF provided a prepayment of £2.6 million ($3.3 million) for Tintra shares back in December 2022.

Supreme PLC (AIM:SUP) shares rose in a cloud of vape smoke as it said it expects trading for the year to March 2024 to be “significantly ahead” of current forecasts as it won a “sizeable” contract to distribute disposable vapes to several major supermarkets.

The manufacturer and distributor of vaping equipment, batteries, lightbulbs and other household goods said it will be the master distributor of the ElfBar and Lost Mary, made by China’s iMiracle Technologies.
