A New York Community Bancorp (NYSE:NYCB) subsidiary has reached a deal with regulators to buy deposits and loans from Signature Bank, sending the company’s shares soaring.

The deal would see the subsidiary, Flagstar Bank, take on nearly all of New York-based Signature Bank’s deposits, a portion of its loan portfolios and all 40 of its former branches, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX is suing the liquidators overseeing the wind-down of its Bahamian affiliate FTX Digital Markets (DM), alleging they have wrongly claimed ownership of the exchange’s assets.

FTX’s new management said in the lawsuit filed on Sunday that the liquidators were laying claim to FTX.com’s cryptocurrency, intellectual property, and customer relationships, per a Reuters report.

enCore Energy Corp (TSX-V:EU, NYSE-A:EU) told investors that the challengers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) granting of a Source Materials License to its Powertech (USA) Inc wholly-owned subsidiary have declined to seek review by the US Supreme Court, with the NRC license now final and fully effective.

In a filing before the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Environmental Appeals Board, enCore Energy noted that the Oglala Sioux, which had challenged the NRC license, stated that "the Oglala Sioux does not oppose the lifting of the stay in this matter given the conclusion of the proceedings in the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit". As a result, it said the Oglala Sioux thereby confirmed its decision not to seek a Supreme Court review of the NRC license.

Western Magnesium Corporation has clarified the Cease Trade Order (CTO) dated March 6, 2023. The company submitted its financial statements to the audit firm in mid-February. Since that time, Western Magnesium has been waiting for the review to be completed by the auditor. This delay is caused by the transition to the current audit firm. The CTO will remain in place until such time as the audited annual financials are filed by the company.

Endeavour Mining PLC said it has received approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) to renew its Normal Course Issuer Bid (NCIB) for its share repurchase programme, in order to continue to supplement its minimum progressive dividend. Under the NCIB, Endeavour is entitled to repurchase up to 5% of its total issued and outstanding shares as of 14 March 2023, or 12,387,688 shares, during the 12 month period of the NCIB, and up to 25% of the average daily trading volume (“ADTV”) for the six months ended 28 February 2023, calculated in accordance with the rules of the TSX for purposes of the NCIB or 134,817 shares during each trading day, excluding purchases made in accordance with the block purchase exemptions under applicable TSX policies. All ordinary shares repurchased under the share repurchase programme will be cancelled. The renewed NCIB will commence on 22 March 2023 and end on 21 March 2024, or such earlier date as Endeavour may complete its purchases pursuant to the notice of intention filed with the TSX. Under Endeavour’s prior NCIB, which commenced on 22 March 2022 and ends on 21 March 2023, Endeavour obtained approval to purchase up to a total of 12,458,989 ordinary shares, of which 3,864,238 ordinary shares were purchased at a weighted average price of approximately CDN$ 27.56.
