Royal Mail parent company International Distribution Services PLC is the sole provider of the universal postal service in the UK, delivering a six-days-a-week to more than 29 million addresses across the UK. It changed its name in 2022 to distinguish its UK arm from its Amsterdam-based international parcels business, GLS. It changed its name to International Distributions Services PLC in October 2022 and removed an 's' in a slight change to International Distribution Services PLC in May 2024
