LON:BREE
Breedon Group plc is the largest independent construction materials group in the country, with the UK's largest cement plant, nearly 60 quarries, 27 asphalt plants and around 200 ready-mixed concrete plants, serving England, Wales and Scotland. The group has exceptionally strong asset backing, with more than 750 million tonnes of mineral reserves and resources. Breedon Holdings Limited, whose trading history dates back to 1996 as the former Ennstone plc, was acquired by Breedon Aggregates Limited (formerly Marwyn Materials Limited) on 6 September 2010. In August 2016 the company completed the acquisition of Hope Construction Materials Limited and changed its name to Breedon Group plc. Breedon is a public company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange, with a range of investors including a number of leading UK financial institutions which have recognised the opportunity to support the group's strategy to grow organically and through consolidation of the smaller end of the UK heavyside building materials sector.
