Metlen Energy & Metals, the London-listed Greek industrial conglomerate, is reviewing strategic options for its infrastructure division METKA Group, including a potential listing on Euronext Athens.
METKA is being consolidated as a standalone entity to house Metlen's construction, concessions, public-private partnership (PPP) investments, and facility management businesses, incorporating METKA ATE, M Concessions and Unison.
The move follows Metlen's recent announcement that it would spin off its PPP and concession-related activities into M Concessions S.A. as part of a broader corporate transformation.
A listing, if pursued, would provide METKA with additional capital to fund growth across infrastructure, PPPs, concessions, real estate, logistics, water, and environmental projects in Greece and Southeast Europe.
Metlen said it expects to retain majority control of METKA should a flotation proceed, with the division continuing to operate as its dedicated infrastructure platform.
The company stressed that any transaction remains conditional on market conditions and the completion of relevant corporate and regulatory processes.
