Vertical Aerospace Ltd
NYSE:EVTL
Vertical Aerospace Ltd was founded in Bristol, England in 2016 to create the most advanced electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in the world. It has agreed to list in New York via a merger with special purpose acquisition vehicle Broadstone. Its latest electric eVTOL aircraft model is the VA-X4, a piloted aircraft that is designed to carry four passengers up to around 100 miles, using four electrically powered tilting rotors at the front and stowable rotors at the rear. By being able to take off and land vertically it can operate in and out of cities and other confined locations, with engines that are said to be “100 times quieter and safer” than a helicopter. It listed in New York in December 2021 via a merger with Broadstone Acquisition Corp.
