Student accommodation firm Unite Group says full year rental growth on track

UNITE Group plc is engaged in the construction, management and rental of student residential accommodation in the United Kingdom. The Company produces bedroom, bathroom and other modular components at its Gloucestershire production facility. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company operated over 37,500 student beds across the United Kingdom, 17,767 of which were owned by the UNITE UK Student Accommodation Fund. On March 1, 2007, the Company acquired a portfolio of properties from Base Limited, which included 1,502 bed spaces in Liverpool, Leicester and Sheffield. In October 2007, the Company launched its project providing managed accommodation for young professionals and graduates, operated under the Livocity brand. The project comprises 62 bed scheme, and is located in Devonshire Street, Regent’s Park.
