The FTSE 100-listed firm said it sold 15,171 homes during the year at an average selling price of around £206,700, up 4% on the average selling price of £199,127 in 2015.
The FTSE 100 index reached a new peak of 7,211.96 today, exceeding the level it hit on Tuesday, the first session of 2017, and was up 19 points at 7,209 at 3.30pm.

FTSE 100-listed Persimmon is expected to continue the trend which has seen firms in the sector provide solid trading figures during 2016 even after June's Brexit vote.
Elementis shares fell nearly 4% after German bank Berenberg cut its rating to ‘hold’ from ‘buy’, with the downgrade largely made on a valuation basis.

The bank's analysts said they have hiked their price targets across the board, which now “suggest close to 30% upside across the sector as a whole.”
