Galan Lithium managing director continues to support company with on-market purchases

The company is exploring lithium brines in the prolific Lithium Triangle region of South America.

Galan Lithium Ltd (ASX:GLN) managing director Juan Pablo Vargas de la Vega continues to demonstrate his support for the company's lithium strategy with the purchase of further shares on-market.

JP Vargas de la Vega has this month purchased a total of 53,000 shares in direct and indirect interests with a total value of more than $11,700.

These are the latest in a series of acquisitions this year and follow his purchase in May of 26,700 shares in on-market trades.

The managing director now holds a total of more than 7.043 million shares with the vast majority in a direct interest.

Today the company's securities are trading at 20.5 cents.

Last month the company confirmed 160 metres of lithium brine from its fifth hole at the Candelas Lithium Brine Project in Argentina.

The drill hole is about 2.5 kilometres south of the maiden drill hole which provided strong results, including an intersection of 192 metres at 802 mg/l lithium with low impurities.

Following geophysical logging several packer tests were performed and samples sent for analyses.

Lab results for hole C-05-19 indicate good lithium grades from the brine horizon from 220 metres to 380 metres ranging from 491 to 856 mg/l lithium.
