Gfinity Plc (LON:GFIN) has once again been named as Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) preferred event partner, this time for the upcoming Halo World Championship 2018 which kicks off next month.
The AIM-quoted esports group has already teamed up with Microsoft several times, including the successful previous Halo Championship Series tournament, the Forza Racing Championship and the Gears of War 2017 tournaments - all of which took place in a busy 2017 for Gfinity.
As for the latest collaboration, the Halo World Championship 2018 will include four weekly tournaments during late January and early February which will all be broadcast live from the Gfinity Esports Arena in London.
The season will also include an EU Open LAN (local area network) event with a prize pool of US$25,000 which will also be held at the arena in February.
