ITM Power revved up the leader board as it sealed a deal with office supplies firm Commercial Group

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 12.45pm.

RISERS

Strat Aero PLC (LON:AERO), up 157%. The formerly bombed out drones company (market cap £3mln) is flying high after the company revealed it had been certified by the Civil Aviation Authority to train pilots of unmanned aircraft.

Audioboom Group PLC, up 22%. Bada bing, bada Audioboom. Okay, now that’s out of the way, onto the explanation. Well, quite simple really….chairman Malcolm Wall has bought 1mln shares at 2.5p each. At 2.75p he’s made a small profit already. Tidy.

Atlantis Resources (LON:ARL), up 13%. Nothing specific today, but been on a bit of a tear (up c50%) since it reassured at the start of July that its tidal programme in the north of Scotland would be unaffected by Brexit. There had been some worries that sources of funding might dry up have now evaporated.

FALLERS

Sirius Minerals (LON:SXX), down 9.5%. Succumbed to a bout of profit taking after a nose-bleed inducing rise that has propelled the stock up 176% in the year to date. Yesterday the AIM mining exploration firm breached the £1bn market capitalisation-mark. At that point investors who got in early obviously looked to bank a little of the hard earned…

RISERS

Tethys Petroleum Ltd (LON:TPL, TSE:TPL), up 92%. The board of directors has adopted a new cost optimisation programme that once fully implemented should save an estimated US$2.5mln a year.

ITM Power plc (LON:ITM), up 6.7%. See ITM Power signs fuel contract with office supplies group Commercial

Hostelworld Group PLC (LON:HSW), up 6.4%. See Hostelworld shares up despite challenging times

FALLERS

Messaging International PLC (LON:MES), down 15.4%. The company is to change its name to SigmaRoc, it announced yesterday, as it announced a raft of board changes, including the resignation of the chief executive officer Guy Levit.

Rare Earth Minerals plc (LON:REM), down 8.7%. See Rare Earth associate Macarthur wants more lithium acreage in Australia

Jersey Oil & Gas PLC (LON:JOG), up 20%. See Jersey Oil & Gas brings StatOil into North Sea exploration venture

JRP Group PLC (LON:JRP), up 16%. The company formerly known as Just Retirement saw its shares rise above a pound as it said it expects to report an embedded value of more than 200p per share (as at the end of June) in its next set of results.

Tlou Energy PLC (LON:TLOU), up 13%. The coal bed methane specialist has renewed its co-operation agreement with General Electric International and IK Holdings for the delivery of a proposed gas-to-power solution in Botswana.

FALLERS

City of London Group plc (LON:CIN), down 18%. Executive director Jason Granite has resigned with immediate effect. The terse announcement came less than a week after non-executive directors Andrew Crossley and Andrew Crowe quit the board.

Eurocell PLC (LON:ECEL), down 3.7%. Windows and doors maker Eurocell reported year-on-year growth of 18% in the first half of the year despite the slow-down in the Repair, Maintenance and Improvement market.

Vast Resources PLC (LON:VAST), down 3.0%. A strong performance in the second quarter at the Pickstone-Peerless gold mine was overshadowed by disappointing optimisation results at the Manaila mine in Romania.
