Ariana Resources PLC (AIM:AAU, ASX:AA2, FRA:4A6) told investors that drilling at its 1.6-million-ounce Dokwe Gold Project in Zimbabwe returned broad zones of gold mineralisation as work advances on the project’s definitive feasibility study.
Metallurgical drilling at Dokwe North included 24 metres grading 4.71 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 172 metres, including 2 metres at 46.95g/t, while another hole returned 68 metres at 2.03g/t. At Dokwe Central, drilling intercepted 98 metres at 2.85g/t from 91 metres, including one metre at 93.72g/t.
The programme comprised 2,822 metres across 15 diamond holes. Ariana has now shipped eight tonnes of metallurgical samples to Yantai, China, where Hongkong Xinhai Mining Services will undertake feasibility-level testwork.
Follow-up exploration drilling also indicated a northeast extension of mineralisation at Dokwe North, with results including 8 metres at 1.45g/t and 2 metres at 17.31g/t. Two holes further east returned no significant gold results, with the findings to inform sterilisation drilling planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
Managing director Kerim Sener said the results reinforced the “extensive widths of mineralisation” at Dokwe North and demonstrated further lateral extension to the northeast. Ariana said it remains well funded to complete its DFS technical work programmes during the first quarter of 2027.
