Tertiary Minerals extends Mushima North mineralisation at depth

Tertiary Minerals PLC (AIM:TYM, OTC:TTIRF, FRA:TMU) said new drilling at its Mushima North project in Zambia has extended silver-copper-zinc mineralisation beyond the depth of its existing Exploration Target, with most of the seven newly reported holes ending in mineralisation.

The Phase 4 results included 82 metres grading 53 grams per tonne silver equivalent from just 7 metres downhole, alongside 67 metres at 51 g/t AgEq from 19 metres and 46 metres at 63 g/t AgEq from 8 metres.

Drilling also reinforced a higher-grade zone, including 22 metres at 105 g/t AgEq from 64 metres. Two further intervals returned 12 metres at 104 g/t AgEq and 11 metres at 110 g/t AgEq.

Managing director Richard Belcher said the results “continue to increase our confidence on the extent and continuation of grade” within the Discovery Zone. He added that holes ending in grade had pushed the known mineralisation beyond the previous Exploration Target envelope, while its full depth and possible transition from oxide into sulphide mineralisation remain untested.

The Discovery Zone has a JORC-compliant Exploration Target of 15-30 million tonnes at 40-60 g/t silver equivalent. Phase 4 comprised 39 reverse-circulation holes totalling 3,639 metres, with results from 12 holes now released and further laboratory assays expected over the coming weeks.
