Tertiary Minerals latest drill results sees Discovery Zone advancing

Tertiary Minerals PLC (AIM:TYM, OTC:TTIRF, FRA:TMU) said final preliminary results from its Phase 4 drilling programme at Mushima North in Zambia continued to support the scale of its Discovery Zone as it moves towards a maiden mineral resource estimate this year.

At Target A1, broad copper intersections included 66 metres grading 0.30% copper from 14 metres downhole and 68 metres at 0.28% copper from 13 metres. Higher-grade sections included 7 metres at 0.52% copper and 5 metres at 0.57%.

The results support Tertiary's existing Exploration Target of 15–30 million tonnes grading 40–60 grams per tonne silver equivalent.

Preliminary pXRF readings also returned silver values of up to 115 g/t in the higher-grade zone and 144 g/t within the wider target, although the company cautioned that pXRF analysis is less reliable for silver.

Managing director Richard Belcher said the programme continued to support both the extent of mineralisation and the higher-grade silver-copper zone.

All selected samples have now been submitted for certified laboratory analysis, with results expected over the coming weeks. Metallurgical testwork is due to start imminently ahead of mineral resource modelling.
