Rentokil Initial PLC (LSE:RTO), the FTSE 100 pest control group, has overhauled its global operating structure, a move it hopes will intensify customer focus and "deliver operational excellence".
The business is formalising its framework into two distinct operating divisions covering North America and a newly consolidated international unit.
Management expects this simplified structure to create clearer accountability for performance and accelerate the adoption of improved sales practices.
The structural changes aim to strengthen alignment against strategic priorities outlined at the previous interim results.
Matt Jochim will join the company as group chief transformation officer at the start of September.
He brings three decades of experience leading large business transformations and previously served as a McKinsey partner.
Jochim also spent five years managing store operations and supply chain transformations at The Home Depot earlier in his career.
The company has appointed Phill Wood to lead the newly formed international division with immediate effect.
The vast territory encompasses Europe, the UK, Ireland, the African continent, Latin America, the Pacific region and parts of the Middle East.
Wood has worked at the business since 2006 and recently managed company marketing and innovation functions alongside regional leadership responsibilities.
Rafael Carrasco took charge of the North American division earlier this month following a career in the waste management sector.
Carrasco previously oversaw operations spanning hundreds of branches and thousands of corporate employees across North America and Western Europe.
The leadership reshuffle follows a recent pledge by Mike Duffy, the chief executive, to simplify the business and improve frontline operations.
Duffy confirmed management is now firmly focused on execution and delivering improved value for shareholders across the group.
The wider pest control conglomerate currently employs roughly 63,400 people across operations spanning 90 countries worldwide.
Investors will watch closely to see if these management changes translate into sustained commercial momentum over the next year.
