Verici Dx PLC (AIM:VRCI) has become an Olink Certified Service Provider, allowing the transplant diagnostics company to offer Olink-based proteomics assay services from its CAP-certified and CLIA-accredited laboratory.
The certification, part of Thermo Fisher’s Life Sciences Solutions network, enables Verici Dx to support biomarker discovery, algorithm development, validation, clinical trials and diagnostic applications for both external clients and its own development pipeline.
Proteomics is the large-scale study of proteins - what proteins are present in cells, tissues or blood, how much of each protein there is, and how they change in disease.
Expands multi-omics capabilities
The Olink platform will strengthen Verici's ability to analyse large proteomic datasets and identify biomarkers and disease signatures across thousands of proteins and patient samples.
The company combines proteomics with existing expertise in genomics, transcriptomics and bioinformatics, while operating within a CAP, CLIA and ISO-compliant quality framework designed to support the translation of biomarker discoveries into clinical-grade assays.
Certification requires providers to complete specialist training, annual concordance testing and re-certification.
Early pharmaceutical application
Verici Dx has already applied the capability in a collaboration with a major pharmaceutical company involving samples from a GLP-1 clinical trial.
The project used a custom proteomic panel to assess biomarker responses in patient samples, with the resulting data contributing to ongoing scientific analysis and submissions.
Chief operating officer Patti Connolly said the certification reflected the company’s ability to combine laboratory processing with bioinformatics and clinical development expertise.
