Critical Mineral Resources says its on track for maiden resource at Agadir Melloul

Critical Mineral Resources PLC (LSE:CMRS, FRA:98J) told investors it remains on track to publish a maiden JORC resource estimate for its Agadir Melloul copper project in Morocco in October, as drilling confirmed further shallow mineralisation and development studies gathered pace.

Latest results from Zone 1 North included 6.9 metres grading 0.52% copper from 37 metres, including two metres at 0.74%, and 2.9 metres at 0.67% copper and 2.5 grams per tonne silver from 11 metres.

A recently completed hole also intersected more than 10 metres of mineralisation from 52 metres. CMR identified massive sulphide copper enrichment near the base of the interval, with assays due during August.

Drilling has resumed at around 800 metres per month following a short pause caused by a shortage of preferred drill bits. Approximately 7,000 metres of a planned 10,000-metre programme has been completed, covering about 6% of the project area.

CMR said its internal, non-JORC model contains roughly 25,000 tonnes of copper. Work on metallurgy, plant design and the environmental impact assessment is underway, with the feasibility study targeted for completion by December 2026.
