Empire Metals Ltd (AIM:EEE, OTCQX:EPMLF) has strengthened its project delivery and environmental approvals team as it pushes the Pitfield Titanium Project through feasibility studies towards commercial development.
The company appointed Chris Dodds as general manager for project delivery, giving him responsibility for assessing development options and progressing engineering, construction and operational planning.
Dodds has more than 20 years’ experience across mining, mineral processing, critical minerals, refining and major capital projects. His previous employers include Alcoa (NYSE:AA), Wood, Iluka Resources, UGL and SIMPEC.
Emma Neale has joined as senior adviser for approvals and will manage Pitfield’s environmental and regulatory approval strategy. She brings more than 14 years’ experience in permitting, impact assessments and stakeholder engagement across Western Australia and internationally.
Pitfield, in Western Australia, is currently estimated to have a mineral resource estimate of 2.2 billion tonnes, grading 5.1% titanium dioxide, containing 113 million tonnes of TiO₂, though Empire notes that the resource covers around 20% of the known mineralised footprint.
