Iofina PLC (AIM:IOF, OTC:IOFNF) told investors it produced a record 393.3 metric tonnes of crystalline iodine in the first half of 2026, beating its upgraded guidance as output jumped 29% year on year.
Production across the company’s eight Oklahoma plants increased from 305.5 tonnes a year earlier and came in 8.3 tonnes above its 385-tonne forecast. Iofina credited stronger-than-expected brine volumes at its central Oklahoma operations.
The group guided for second-half output of between 460 and 485 tonnes, supported by new capacity at IO#12 and increased production from IO#11. IO#12, its largest IOsorb plant, is due to be commissioned in the third quarter, with production expected near the end of September and annual capacity of 170–220 tonnes.
Iodine spot prices remained in the mid-US$70 per kilogram range during the period, while demand for Iofina Chemical’s derivative products was particularly strong in animal health and feed markets.
The company is also finalising an additional US$10 million project loan facility as it works towards annual iodine production of 2,000 tonnes.
